Kingsknowe Building & Landscaping Ltd have been delivering building and landscaping projects across Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife for over 25 years. In that time we have built a reputation on doing things properly: sound workmanship, clear communication, and a finish that holds up long after the job is done.
We focus on residential work for homeowners and property owners, from single trade outdoor jobs through to larger multi-stage projects where building, groundwork and landscaping all need to be coordinated under one roof.
One Team, Start to Finish
We are a direct contractor, which means we carry out work with our own employed team rather than passing it to subcontractors. That gives you one line of responsibility across the whole project, and better control over timing, workmanship and how each stage connects to the next.
Every project is built to Scottish Building Standards and backed by our own workmanship guarantee. Before we hand a project back to you, we walk through the finished work together to make sure every detail meets our standards and yours.

Meet Darren Whytock
Kingsknowe Building & Landscaping is led by founder and Director Darren Whytock. Darren brings decades of hands-on building and landscaping experience to every project, and stays involved from the first site visit through to final handover. That hands-on involvement is a big part of why so much of our work comes from repeat customers and personal recommendations.

We work right across Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife, covering the city itself, West Lothian, Midlothian, East Lothian and the Fife towns and villages where we already carry out residential project work.
